A Bully & A Hypocrite

In my post yesterday-I gave a link to an interview that Richard Dawkins did of Wendy Wright who is president of Concerned Women for America. I know that some of the people I have discussed that interview with were not really impressed with Wendy. I just want to share a few reasons why I was pleased with her courage.

1. The lady is not a skilled debater in any sense as far as Creation Science goes. She heads up an organization that tries to help Christian Women in our culture deal with life from God's perspective.
2. She refused to be intimidated by a man who thinks himself to be smarter than just about anybody on the planet.
3. She very nicely exposed him in his utter hypocrisy-Dawkins wants any truth suppressed that could lead anyone to believe in a Creator. Most especially children in tax payer funded public schools. Dawkins believes that anyone who believes in God is mentally ill-but of course he can't see the fact that it is the atheist who is mentally ill.
4. Over and over again she pointed out the FACT of the lack of evidence that the human race evolved from primordial soup.
5. Through all of his arrogance and insults-she kept her cool-and refused to let him bully her, though he made every effort to do so-even at one point asking her where she studied science.

Here is the problem with Dawkins-he will go and visit a Church where Ted Haggard is Pastor-while Haggard was there. I am not going to link to that-because the language people have used at those youtube videos is disgusting-just google it-it's out there.
Dawkins will choose to interview a woman at Concerned Women for America because he thinks that organization is made up of intellectual pygmies.

These are the people Dawkins wants to interact with these days. These are the people he thinks will make him look brilliant and wise, I suppose. But in my opinion the man is a total coward for the fact that he no longer cares to debate with Creationists because as he states in "A Devil's Chaplain"
"Like any flourishing science, the study of evolution has it internal controversies, as we both know. But no qualified scientist doubts that evolution is a fact, in the ordinary accepted sense in which it is a fact that the earth orbits the Sun. It is a fact that human beings are cousins to monkey, kangaroos, jellyfish and bacteria. No reputable biologist doubts this, nor do reputable theologians, from the Pope on....We are continually invited to engage in public debate against creationists.....We always refuse, for one overriding reason. If we may be allowed to spell this reason out publicly, we hope our letter may be helpful to other evolutionary scientists plagued by similar invitations. The question of who would win such a debate not at issue. Winning is not what these people realistically aspire to.The coup they seek is simply the recognition of being allowed to share a platform with a real scientist in the first place. This will suggest to innocent bystanders that there must be material here that is genuinely worth debating, on something like equal terms." Page 218
The italics are added for emphasis.

I do hope you did not miss the arrogance and superiority in the above quote-there is no doubt that Dawkins worships some gods-he is his own god and science is his god- so there are two for you.. He has a great bully pulpit from which he can preach his gods to the masses. He is the darling of the media-and when he does choose to represent Christianity he chooses the worst of the worst-like Ted Haggard.

Or he visits a place like Concerned Women for America to interview what he probably considered to be a dumb blond. In this case he was wrong.

Rom 1:18-23
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.  For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools,  and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.

  1. I feel very sorry for Richard Dawkins. May God have mercy upon him, for he is heaping condemnation upon himself.

  2. You are so right Persis-I must never forget -but for the grace of God -there go I. I sometimes get so irritated at these people because they hate the God I love-that I forget to pray for mercy for them. Thanks for the reminder!

  3. It's hard not to get upset and hate those who hate God! But I will try to always remember where I was before I loved God! Blessings!

  4. Victoria, I thought that Miss Wright did a pretty good job as well. She kept her cool, and not only that but she has a great, musical laugh that was an extremely fitting reply to some of Dawkins' silly statements. She seemed a little like Alice in Wonderland, and he almost seemed like a character from it as well. He said things that sounded like: "Well, it's true because I say it is" "Everybody who is smart knows that..." Very pompous indeed.
