Mormonism Is Not Christianity: A Resource You Need

In today's world when words are twisted and language is abused by cults who want to hide the truth about what they believe-Christians MUST diligently study Scripture. It is our responsibility to know what we believe and why we believe it. You have probably had your doorbell ring many times by strangers who want to come into your home and explain to you that they have the REAL truth about what a Christian is-and what a Christian believes. In particular the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Mormons.

Not that long ago I had 2 young men dressed in white shirts and dark ties come to my door so that they could try and convert me to what they believe to be true Christianity: Mormonism. I invited them in in order to share the Gospel with them. My heart is always tender toward young people-especially when they are trapped in false religion. I was quite shocked to find that they had no idea of the basic doctrinal beliefs that are the foundation of their faith -they were very ignorant of the vulgar and ugly basics of Mormonism-which separate the Mormon cult from anything remotely resembling the Christian faith. I talked with those young men and at the end I prayed for them-I was surprised they let me-but they did.

Please visit Alpha and Omega Ministries and hear Dr James White explain some things you need to know about Mormonism today. Be sure to read all 8(at this time) articles here.

We must take advantages of resources like this-if we don't we just cannot have these cultists come into our homes. We need to know that when they use Biblical language-they do not mean what the Bible means. We must be able to give a defense of the "Once  for all delivered to the saints faith". If we can't do that-we can't invite them in. Mormonism is NOT Christianity-it never has been and it never will be.

  1. Thanks for the info, Vicki. Mormons and JW's usually come out when the weather warms up.

  2. I'm surprised you got that far and were able to pray with them Vicky. I too feel compassion for these young men only 18 or 19. I have Mormon family members - it's tough because they're trained to sound like us. I used to live in Salt Lake City.

Thanks for the James White links.

  3. If you were a true Christian you wouldn't argue with good people doing good things. Would you rather those young men be smoking crack on the downtown eastside in Vancouver? Think about it before you make your statements public. How is the latter-day saint church the second fastest growing church in the world? There is no such thing as 'mormonism' either. Latter-day saints is the actual church.

  4. I am contemplating deleting your comment anonymous. If you are going to disagree with a Biblical position at my blog-then do not do it as some nameless person. If you knew the Scripture -you would understand that how fast a religion is growing is NO indication at all of whether it is orthodox Christianity.

No I don't want those young men on crack-but they are as addicted to poison in their bondage to Latter Day Saint's false doctrine as any crackhead. I want them to know the truth.

I would urge you to go to Alpha and Omega ministries and read and watch the videos there that teach you what the Latter Day Saints really believe as opposed to what the Bible teaches.

Good people doing good things has nothing to do with whether or not someone is a Christian.
    Rom. 3:23
    Isaiah 64:6

If you want to defend the Latter Day Saints( I can't understand your opposition to the word Mormonism-because in their commercials they call themselves Mormons)here-you will have to defend your position from the Bible-and not be afraid to reveal who you are.

I ask that you study what true Christianity is-if you need to know what to read and study to help you-please email me at vlbl@verizon.net

Life is short-knowing the truth about God and His plan-and His solution for making bad people good is not an option. Knowing the truth is a life and death issue-both now and forever.
